Radical change through historical Consciousness deeply rooted in Kurdish society and many other societies and people on the ground in middle east. For at least 1400 years, with the invasion of Islam and the west invasion of the area later, which gave life to some people and death to other, in the face of to many threats in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious area people of Rojava, established a Charter and a social contract for a peaceful coexistence and new understanding between peoples there.

With the Performance work UNDER THE CHARTER, WE, THE PEOPLE, Wirya Budaghi create a space for/with us through aesthetics of emotion to connect us emotionally with this new experiment, an experiment based on Democracy, Feminism & Ecology in Rojava. In this work , Budaghi will share a performative space with us in response to Rojava’s struggle, law and bodies. Wirya ‘s performance is dedicated to the development of a new, intimate and accessible realm of collective responsibility, of sharing pain and resistance of peoples and translating it into physical movement. Through this work, collectively, we will reflect on our own understanding of the struggle and pain in Rojava, and responding to it with our bodies.

The performance aims to create a space and an opportunity, where the audience can engage in a process through which the experience of pain and resistance can transform into a call for political and social changes. A space where art, law and bodies become collective and united resistance.
